  This is a really GREAT place to gem mine. First, it is up in the mountains and the drive is gorgeous! The roads are paved, safe and it is such a scenic ride. Once we arrived, it is located in a quant town. The store is upstairs, gem mining is down stairs. The gem mining was a great experience for both the adults and kids! The woman who runs the gem mining part is passionate about her job and helped us identify our finds. She took a good deal of time explaining all of the gems we found, which were a lot! We have gem mined at other locations and bar none, this one is the BEST. I highly recommend this location to anyone who wants to have a truly enjoyable day!
